Prologue

Naira Goenka was the youngest and brightest child of the illustrious Goenka family. Born into a close-knit joint family, she was adored by everyone. Her elder brother, Kairav, doted on her, and her childhood best friend, Kartik Ambani, shared an unbreakable bond with her. Their mothers, who were inseparable friends, had promised to marry them to each other.

Tragedy struck when Naira was young. Her mother sacrificed her life protecting her, leaving behind a grieving family. Despite the loss, Naira grew up surrounded by love, though her father, Naitik, was never the same after losing his wife.

Kartik became her constant, and their bond only deepened as they grew older. They began to see each other as more than friends, dreaming of a future together. However, fate had other plans.

Act 1: A Blissful Beginning

At 17, Naira and Kartik stood on the cusp of a new chapter in their lives. Their families began discussing their engagement, dreaming of a future where the two would unite their families.

Kairav, now married to Kartik’s elder sister Kirti, was another source of happiness for the family. Kirti’s pregnancy brought even more joy, and the Goenka family basked in their blessings.

In this harmonious life, Naira thrived. She adored Kirti and doted on her unborn niece or nephew. Her days were filled with laughter, her bond with Kartik growing stronger as they prepared for a future together.

Act 2: The Tragedy

Everything changed the day Kirti fell.

It was supposed to be a day of celebration. The family had gathered for a small event when Kirti suddenly lost her balance. Naira, the only one nearby, tried to catch her, but it was too late. Kirti collapsed, and the fall resulted in a miscarriage. Worse, she slipped into a coma.

The family was plunged into despair. Grief consumed the Goenka household, and their mourning soon turned into anger.

1. The Accusations Begin:
   Kairav, blinded by pain, blamed Naira for not being careful enough. He accused her of negligence and claimed she had been reckless, putting Kirti in harm’s way.
   Kartik, still reeling from the tragedy, sided with his friend and brother-in-law. Though he loved Naira, his grief overpowered his reason.

Naira tried to explain, but her voice was drowned out by accusations. The warmth she once received from her family turned cold.
